The Dental Museum

So, when I have talked about the Dental Museum with some of you that I have set up each year, I finally took pictures and am going to write some. I spent about 30 hours setting up and preparing it for the week that it is up.

These first few cabinet are the most expensive and are some of the most aesthetic looking.  This first one is the most expensive and is well over 30 grand.  The next few are close.  Most are made of oak or mahogany.

Here are a few sets of carrying cases that are full of hand tools and are in ivory.
Tables of ovens for dentures and volcanizers.
Lab area for dental work that was done.
These instruments above were dug from Pompeii.  They are medical and dental instruments.
The top and bottom pictures are form the medical room.

The next few are offices from the time periods that are placed on the chair.

1920's

1910's

 1890's

 before 1870's

These are random tools used in dentistry on the tables.  This is in the anatomy lab that we transformed into the museum.

 Chairs
WWI and WWII chairs used in battle field tents.
 Sterilization stuff
 Anesthesia stuff
surveyors and head rests, and foot pedal.
 oil lamps

Cabinets- there were over 50 on display

This is a display case that is up year round that is about 1900.

The rest are cabinets

more lab stuff the next few pics
 tweezers and tongs
 torch tips and different handles

these are the oldest drills that were used by hand
 turn keys

 pelicans
There is a lot of stuff here and you can see why it takes so long to set up!
