Jami's Craft and Date

The last couple of weeks have been busy. Justin took finals and did well in all of my classes.  He worked this past week setting up for the dental museum and transplanting lots of trees since it has cooled down.  The trees have started turning colors since the weather has started to change and it is looking prettier all the time out at his boss's place.

I have been working on crafty things since i have not been working yet.  I bought this old frame at a antique type shop and decided to tryout my skills at making something.  It did not turn out to bad.  So, all of you Jackson and Blomstedt families if you want your picture on it, then you need to send us a picture. No larger than a 4X6 picture, but no smaller than a wallet size picture.

This is an experiment that we tried and it worked pretty well.  This is a watermelon cake with cream cheese frosting and other fruits decorations.  It was actually pretty good.  Many people were fooled or did not believe us when we told them.  This picture is proof that we did it.

We went on a date night and watched the sun go down out at Mahoney State Park.  We took a little hike and enjoyed the sunset from the tower that we climbed, which had a 106 steps. There is a good view from the top and we were able to enjoy the nice weather that we have been having.  Our phone camera is not the best so the sunset is not given justice but nonetheless here are some pictures.

All in all we can't complain too much.  Life ahs been going pretty good for us.  I start my job on the 14 of October and have been doing paperwork and tests to get ready to start.  Justin starts school again this next week.  The garden did well as we made lots of salsa and spaghetti sauce.  We are excited for the fall season.

  1. I've never heard of a watermelon cake, but it certainly looks tasty! What a fun idea!
