New Decorations

Justin is still pluggin' away at school.  He's started some clinicals that are mostly shadowing, but his labs are getting him all ready for clinicals this fall.  He just LOVES school (can you hear the sarcasm?) No, he's awesome, stickin' with something that he doesn't particularly enjoy, but working towards a long-term goal.

I've been keeping busy.  Sometimes I'm not sure how, because it doesn't seem like I do a whole lot, but time has seemed difficult to come by.  Work has kept me busy, and I've added some hours up in Omaha which gives me 13.5 hour day those days.  This week I've been determined to get some Fourth of July decorations up.  They were supposed to be up around Memorial Day.  But here's a little peek at what is on our mantle this time of year:

The first a a hand-stitched semi-distressed frame:

And the antique flags that I got during an activity that a lady in my ward had to do for her blog.

And lastly, the burlap garland that I decided to do, which I was pretty excited about.

It all came together rather nicely.  It was the first idea I came up with all on my own.  Usually I just steal all my ideas from Pinterest.
