My Preceptorship and The Pregnancy

The last two weeks have been busy with my preceptorship and Jami working, so no pictures for this post even though that is really boring at least you will know what is going on with us.  I started my preceptorship at Madonna in the ventilator assist unit. I work 12 hour shifts, which I like, caring for a few patients.  I have been able to start some IVs, replace a gastrointestinal tube, and redo some wound vac dressings. These are a few of the more interesting things besides the basics of medications and assessments.  I did have an interview there and have not heard back, but I also have an interview this week at St. Elizabeth.  The pay is a little better and benefits, but I a little iffy working there.  I am still waiting to hear back from other jobs that I have applied too.  I am really wanting a surgery position but have to get some experience.

Jami was been doing swell. Working has been keeping her busy. They told her that she can not accept anymore clients so hours will start dwindling. Unfortunately, they are just letting the program shrink as they are only keeping a couple of people to see clients. Pregnancy has been going really good and Staci was awesome to hold a baby shower for her. THANKS! and for anyone else that helped.  It must have been awesome because the spouses of some of the people that went that were in the bishopric and PEC were discussing it before and after the meeting.  Jami is counting down the weeks as she is within the single digits left.  I guess maybe it is time to get some things ready before the baby comes.
