Evalyn had her first Christmas! It was a fairly quiet one here at home. We were excited to actually get a white Christmas. It snowed Christmas Eve morning, and it miraculously stayed cold enough to keep it around through Christmas day. We did some last-minute shopping Christmas Eve morning, and then had a rushed "Shepherd's Dinner" in order to get to our stake's Christmas Eve program.
We were luckier than most parents. We got sleep in. Evalyn's been on a "I'm-not-going-to-sleep-until-midnight" kick, but that means she usually sleeps in until around 8 or 9 o'clock.
Opening gifts was short but fun. Evalyn didn't catch on to the ripping the paper off things, but she paid more attention to her gifts than I thought she would.
She's enjoyed wrestling a new "Stuffie." And, she got a new bath toy that lights up, spins, and shoots out water when it's placed in the water. She likes trying to grab that, but then gets sprayed in the face.
But, of course, she loved sucking on the wrapping paper most of all!
Merry Christmas!!
